19,100 Counterfeit Printer Cartridges Seized in Saudi Arabia

Authorities seized 19,100 counterfeit printer toner cartridges worth SR1.3 million (US$346,000) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

According to Arab News, the field inspection team of the Ministry of Commerce and Investment (MCI) conducted the raid. The team seized a number of counterfeit products from a large warehouse in Riyadh, including cartons of counterfeit toner for well-known printer brands, cartridges ready for sale, packaging bags, rings for closing the cartridges, as well as stickers and other materials describing the products.

During the raid, the team also arrested the shop owner for further investigations. The suspect is set to be referred to the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution.
