Xerox Helps U.S. Navy Procure MFPs

Xerox announced it has been awarded a 10 year contract worth $94 million for the onboard document needs of the U.S. Navy’s vessels worldwide.

According to the contract, Xerox will help the U.S. Navy with the installation, training and supplies procurement of the multifunction printers (MFPs) and production devices across its fleet. Also, 18 Xerox technicians will provide onboard document management services and support.

Xerox noted that the advanced security provided by the company’s office devices is a main contributor to Xerox’s win of this contract. And the MFPs are equipped with Xerox Secure Print that requires a user’s identification number to unlock documents. Access to the device is also guarded by a front-panel PIN code authentication.

Kevin Warren, President of U.S. Client Operations at Xerox, said, “Fulfilling the document management needs of the Navy is a responsibility we take very seriously and will do so with efficiency and responsiveness. The combination of Xerox’s technology, services and support lets organizations of all sizes simplify their printing needs, allowing them to focus on their core business objectives.”
