Xerox Board of Directors Names Two New Members

The OEM has announced the appointments of Joseph J. Echevarria and Cheryl G. Krongard to its Board of Directors as of January 1, 2017.

According to Xerox, Echevarria is the former CEO of Deloitte LLP and currently on the board of directors of New York Mellon Corp., Unum Group, and Pfizer Inc. Kongard used to be the senior partner of Apollo Management LP and is now listed as a board member of Legg Mason, Inc. and Air Lease Corporation. The addition of Echevarria and Krongard will make up the eleven directors of the Xerox Board.

“We’re pleased to have Joe and Cheryl, two highly successful professionals with extensive governance experience, join our board,” said Ursula Burns, the Chairman and CEO of Xerox. “Xerox will greatly benefit from Joe’s knowledge of international business and professional services and Cheryl’s expertise in institutional asset management, as we begin our exciting next phase after our separation into two independent companies.”

Xerox has been very active with appointments of the upper echelon with the completion of the company’s split approaching. The company just appointed William F. Osbourn, Jr. to be the CFO of Xerox’s Technology business.
