Print-Rite Compatible Chips Survive OEM Firmware Upgrade

Compatible chips developed by Print-Rite, for use in the Kyocera FS-2100 (EU), have successfully withstood another firmware upgrade of the Kyocera TK-5 laser printer.

Print-Rite asserted that its TK-5 series compatible chips use ASIC technology, so Kyocera’s firmware upgrades have no impact upon the chips. The chips are available from Print-Rite.
