Phyllis Gurgevich Joins Recycling Times Media

Zhuhai, China 25 June 2013

Well known imaging industry identity Phyllis Gurgevich will help spearhead expansion of the monthly Recycling Times trade magazine for remanufactured print consumables to a wider readership in North America as well as other English speaking regions of the world as a Consulting Editor.

Gurgevich has previously served the printing consumables industry as publisher of Recharger Magazine and organiser of the World Expo. For the last 6 years she has worked with clients on digital workflow solutions, records and information management programs and document security. At the same time Gurgevich has kept contact with many aftermarket consumables companies and consulted in the areas of marketing, business development and events.

While the industry has evolved, “What hasn’t changed in the last 6 years, is the industry’s will to exist against the accelerating technological barriers, the use of the legal battlefields and the under-educated buyers,” she says.  However, Gurgevich sees one of the biggest changes is a renewed focus on local and regional markets.  “I look forward to renewing more relationships and meeting the newest professionals engaged in leading the industry,” she says.

Tony Lee—Managing Director of Recycling Times Media which publishes Recycling Times in hard copy as well as digital every month in two separate English and Chinese editions—is delighted to have Gurgevich on board as part of the team. “Phyllis is well known, very likeable and highly respected. We know she can help our highly regarded news and views magazine penetrate even more industry players at the grass roots levels.”

In her role, Gurgevich will help grow awareness and participation at the global industry’s largest trade show in Zhuhai, October 16-19. Lee commented, “Having the former organizer of World Expo on board with us, will help us move this international event to new levels of engagement as the industry connects at this once-a-year, one-stop-shop in Zhuhai, China.”

Gurgevich will commence working with the new look and expanded Recycling Times Magazine on July 1, 2013 and will continue to be based in Las Vegas, Nevada USA.
