OEMs and Aftermarket Meet to Resolve Technical Developments & Issues

Hundreds of industry professionals, both OEM and Aftermarket will head to an annual summit in Zhuhai, China to resolve technical developments and issues, as they have done for the last 9 years.

And the RT Imaging Summit on October 15 and 16, held during the popular RemaxWorld Expo in Zhuhai, will be no exception this year.

HP launched its industry White Paper on brand misidentification at the RT Imaging RemaxWorld Summit in Zhuhai, China in October 2013. HP warned the Aftermarket about the use of chips in printer cartridges intended for HP printers. Recently, Brother chose RT Media’s website and magazine to also release a technical White Paper on correct messaging to be used in aftermarket chips for use in remanufactured and manufactured inkjet cartridges. In response, many chip manufacturers, including Apex Microelectronics (Apex), Static Control, Print-Rite and Zhono were quick to claim they each followed the technical instructions set by the OEMs.

Mr. Ben Wu, R&D manager of Apex Microelectronic Co.,Ltd, who has been engaged in the imaging industry for 7 years researching and developing cartridge chips and designing devices related to chips, will share his views on the upgrading of chips at the RT Imaging Summit—Asia 2015: Why the Aftermarket Cannot Ignore Firmware Upgrades on Cartridge Chips?

On March 10, HP launched their most revolutionary LaserJet printers since the product originated back in 1984.

The new devices feature toner cartridges with HPs new JetIntelligence technology. HP claims the printers use up to 53% less energy, take up to 40% less space and can print up to 33% more compared with traditional ones. The ColorSphere 3 toner used has a durable shell and soft core, and melts at a much lower temperature requiring far less heat to melt. This has been a difficult technology for the Aftermarket to replicate.

At the RT Imaging Summit—Asia 2015, independent toner consultant John Marshall will give his report on HP’s JetIntelligence: Technical: Report on HP’s JetIntelligence, low fusing, high yield toners—Can the Aftermarket match it?

With more than 30 years’ experience in the imaging industry and 12 years working at Static Control Components (SCC, Europe), the world’s leading manufacturer and distributor to the cartridge remanufacturing industry, Marshall has been pursuing interests as an independent consultant to the toner manufacturing and cartridge remanufacturing industries.

The RT Imaging Summit—Asia 2015 will be held on October 15-16, 2015 (The first and second day of the Expo) in Zhuhai, China. Click here to get the early bird ticket.
