Notice Concerning Change of Representative Director

Canon Inc. (the “Company”) approved a change of the Company’s Representative Directors at the meeting of its Board of Directors held on January 28, 2015, as follows.

1. Reason for Change

Retirement due to the expiration of one’s term of office.

2. Change of Representative Director (Retiring Representative Director)

Toshiaki Ikoma Representative Director, Executive Vice President & CTO

* After retirement, Toshiaki Ikoma will be appointed as a Special Adviser.

3. Scheduled Date of Retirement

March 27, 2015 (Retirement will become effective at the conclusion of the Company’s Ordinary

General Meeting of Shareholders for the 114th Business Term to be held on the same day
