Samsung introduces new multifunction printer for businesses

Samsung Electronics Co. has released the latest edition of its Android-powered multifunction printer MultiXpress, which comes with improved design for business environments.

As Yonhap News reports, the MultiXpress 4 Renovation (MX4-R) comes with a 10.1-inch touch display. With the device running on the Android platform, Samsung said users can directly print without having to connect it with computers.

The company showcased the MultiXpress series in 2014, which grabbed the market’s attention as the industry’s first smart printer running on Android.

The MX4-R will come with a white body, with the paper drawer being located on the side for a simpler look.

Samsung said the MX4-R boasts a maximum printing speed of 120 sheets in black and white and 100 sheets in color per minute.

The MX4-R will be released in color and a black-and-white version. Each version will come with three different editions.

The color edition also comes with 10 percent higher cartridge capacity than its predecessor, with that of the black-and-white product being 17 percent higher.

The product comes with the CounThru solution that helps users manage different printing devices, along with the SecuThru program, which enhances security for confidential information.
