Jadi is Awarded Japanese Patent for Eco-Friendly Toner Solution

Jadi Imaging Technologies Sdn. Bhd. (Jadi) announced it has been awarded patent No. 5,303,800 on an Environmentally-Friendly Natural Oil-based Toner Resin by Japan’s Patent Office. Jadi said the patent—which refers to the same item granted in US patent No. 7,968,647 B2 it received two years ago—proves that the bio-based sources Jadi uses for making green resin “may include various vegetable oils such as palm oil”.

In addition, Jadi revealed it incorporates plant oil derivatives to produce a green toner. Also, Jadi believes that its green toner products will ensure high print quality and be eco-friendly when used for high volume printing.

Regarding the Japanese patent, Jadi noted the achievement shows its “commitment towards the research and development of toners and resins, as well as of eco-friendly printing solutions”.
