HP to Expand Indian Market

In response to the government’s “Digital India” initiatives, HP has said it will focus on mobile printing, and set up a printer manufacturing plant in India.

HP Asia-Pacific Japan VP (Printing Systems) Leong Han Kong claims India to be a growing market with huge potential. He also stated that the first priority is to cultivate public awareness of the emerging mobile printing technologies, as it’s the future trend and a major growth driver for print industry.

When speaking of the government’s initiative, Leong Han Kong said: “We think that the innovation, the solution that we have, applies to those initiatives and we can bring good value to some of the programs that the Prime Minister is rolling out across India. We are now working with our team and partners in India to size up the potential and clearly, we would be very involved in terms of working with the government of India to share a solution.”
