HP Raises Printer Prices in India

Imaging icon HP has hiked prices of its multifunction printers and cartridges by up to 15% due to increases in taxations.
The maximum retail price (MRP) of MFPs has been increased by 8-10 percent, and the MRP of ink cartridges will be up by 12-15 percent, according to HP.
However, prices for the single-function printers are not affected since the tax rates for such products stayed the same.
According to zeenews.com, Indian government had asked traders and businesses to issue advertisements to inform the public about the increase in their MRP after the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
HP has since published the new price list in leading daily newspapers.
