FUJIFILM India Partners With Gujarat on Semiconductor Materials
FUJIFILM India has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat State Electronics Mission (GSEM), under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of Gujarat, to explore opportunities for manufacturing semiconductor materials in India.

The MoU was signed at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Vadodara and aims to strengthen domestic semiconductor supply chains while supporting India’s efforts to expand its semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.
FUJIFILM India said the agreement is part of its evaluation of investment opportunities in the country, including plans related to Dholera. The company also said it intends to leverage its expertise in electronic materials to support the development of India’s semiconductor industry.
Fujifilm Electronic Materials operates more than 20 production facilities worldwide and supplies chemical materials used in semiconductor manufacturing. The company views India as a strategic growth market and said the collaboration supports the Government of India’s “Make in India” initiative through localized manufacturing, technology collaboration, and supply chain development.
Further details regarding investment timelines or manufacturing capacity were not disclosed.
