Epson China has recently reported a recall plan to State Administration for Market Regulation.

From now on, the company will recall some Epson power adapter products produced from June 2011 to December 2013.

The power adapter AST2437Z1-1 is for Pro100 label printer, involving an amount of 320 pieces, as well as power adapter A329GB produced between January 2010 and May 2012, which is for Epson Perfection V3X, V3XX series flat-panel scanner, involving a total of 177,150 pieces.

The reason for recalling is because the DC plug of the power adapter may generate heat, melting or smoke during working process. In a few extreme cases, there may be a risk of burning.

For the power adapters within the above scope, Epson China will replace the power adapters with new non-defective power adapters for free

to eliminate potential safety hazards.

Epson has launched recall plan on its official website. Customers can log on to check whether the power adapter held is within the scope of the recall, or to learn more about the situation through Epson’s customer consultation line (400-810-9979).

They can also visit the Defective Product Management Center through website of the State Administration for Market Regulation, or even follow the WeChat public account (SAMRDPAC) for more information.
