Creality Launches K2 & K2 Pro 3D Printers with AI Capabilities
3D printer manufacturer Creality has expanded its flagship K series lineup with the release of the K2 and K2 Pro. Positioned as high-performance CoreXY machines, the new models introduce advanced motion systems, AI-assisted monitoring, and multi-material printing options aimed at professionals and experienced makers.

Both printers feature a rigid die-cast aluminum frame and steel linear rail on the X-axis, paired with a step-servo motor system. This configuration supports speeds of up to 600 mm/s and acceleration up to 20,000 mm/s², offering improved precision and stability compared to conventional consumer models.
A key feature across the series is support for Creality’s Colour Filament System (CFS), which enables multi-material and multicolor printing. Each printer can connect up to four CFS units, allowing as many as 16 filaments to be loaded at once. In addition to handling color changes, the system can automatically detect filament type and color when using Creality RFID spools, switch to a backup spool if one runs out, and maintain filament quality with built-in drying functions.
The K2 Pro distinguishes itself with active chamber heating up to 60 °C, enabling reliable printing with engineering-grade materials such as PA-CF and PPA-CF. It also features a hardened steel nozzle rated for higher flow rates and a powerful part cooling fan. The base K2 lacks active chamber heating but is optimized for common filaments like PLA-CF and ABS.
For print reliability, both models include a chamber-mounted AI camera that detects common issues such as print failures and missing build plates. The K2 Pro adds a second, nozzle-mounted camera for real-time flow rate adjustments and waste chute monitoring. Additional features include Smart Auto Levelling, USB and Wi-Fi connectivity (with Ethernet on the Pro), a quiet printing mode, and onboard storage (8GB for the K2, 32GB for the K2 Pro).
The K2 offers a 300 x 300 x 300 mm build volume, while the K2 Pro provides the same dimensions with enhanced performance. Prices start at $549 for the K2 and $849 for the K2 Pro, with combo packages available. Both models will be available for order starting August 25 through Creality’s official store, Amazon, and authorized partners.
