Clover First to be Granted New Green CertificationsAccording to Clover Imaging Group (Clover), its remanufactured ink and laser printer cartridges have received GreenCircle certification for both Recycled Content and Closed Loop Product.

Clover claims it is the first printer cartridge manufacturer (OEM or aftermarket) to receive GreenCircle’s Recycled Content and Closed Loop Product certifications.

“The GreenCircle certifications are important to us because they align with our vision to be a trusted source of environmentally sustainable products that support a circular economy,” said Keli Posch (pictured), Vice President of Marketing & Sustainability for Clover Imaging Group.

According to Posch, Clover remanufactured ink cartridges were certified at 99% Recycled Content and Closed Loop Product while Clover’s laser cartridges were certified at 86% Recycled Content and Closed Loop Product. GreenCircle’s Recycled Content & Closed Loop certifications demonstrate an organization’s commitment to reuse materials to support a circular economy and reduce their reliance on virgin materials. GreenCircle follows ISO 14021 and FTC standards for recycled content claims.

GreenCircle Certified is an internationally recognized third-party certification entity whose thorough evaluation process provides independent verification that sustainability claims related to an organization’s products and operations are honest, valid, and verified. The certification process for Clover’s products included a full audit of recycled content and closed-loop claims as well as a facility audit.

GreenCircle Certified is recognized as a valid third-party certification entity by the U.S. Federal Government, the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), the International Living Future Institute (ILFI), and the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR). GreenCircle’s Recycled Content certification also qualifies Clover’s products for inclusion in Amazon’s Climate Pledge Friendly Program.

“The prestigious GreenCircle ecolabel ensures customers that when they choose a Clover product for their printing needs, they are making the best choice for the environment,” Posch added.

“We commend Clover Imaging Group’s dedication to transparency and product sustainability,” says Michelle Bonanno, Director of Operations at GreenCircle. “GreenCircle’s Recycled Content and Closed Loop Product certifications demonstrate commitment to the circular economy and that Clover is a brand you can trust.”
