Cartridge World Expands with Business Service

With the growing of business to business sales, the Scarborough-based Cartridge World Store is expanding its business service into York, to meet increasing customer demands.

The existing Scarborough store not only supplies replacement printer cartridges, it also offers a print management service in Scarborough, and now in York.

“Over the past few years we’ve evolved into the local experts on everything to do with printing and printers with a particular focus on business to business. Research has shown that, beyond the initial cost of a printer, 90% of UK businesses have no idea how much they actually spend on office printing. In fact it could be up to 3% of annual turnover. For a business with a half million turnover that’s £15,000 a year! So there’s a massive potential market for managed print services,” said Jayne Colbeck, the joint owner of the Scarborough store.

Colbeck concluded: “Initially we’ll be servicing the York area from our store here in Scarborough, delivering cartridges, printers and other office supplies. Long-term, the plan is to have a physical presence in the city.”
