Cartridge World Delivers New Sustainable Solutions

Customers can now recycle empty toners or ink cartridges at Cartridge World.

Cartridge World and Environmental Office Solutions are introducing a new recycling program just in time to celebrate Earth Day. This program allows customers and businesses to easily dispose of empty ink and toner cartridges.

Print cartridges that are not recycled create a negative impact on the environment:

  • One gallon of oil is required to make a new laser cartridge.
  • Approximately 70% of used print cartridges are thrown away.
  • 75% of garbage is recyclable, we only recycle 30 percent of it.
  • A laser cartridge thrown in landfills can take 450 years to degrade – some up to 1000 years
  • In a year, if the discarded cartridges were lined up, there would be a trip around the world times.

By providing customers with facilities for recycling, Cartridge World and Environmental Office Solutions are providing a convenient solution to reduce waste and help the ecosystem.

“Since our founding in 1997, Cartridge World has adopted sustainable practices. We feel that we need to increase our green efforts for a world that demands more attention. This program is a game changer, “explained Mark Pinner (pictured), CEO of Cartridge World North America. “Consumers demand more sustainability from brands and we want to deliver them to them. What has not changed in more than 20 years is our commitment to the environment, we are proud to provide high-quality cartridges and remanufactured premium ink and toner and recycled components in conjunction with solutions that reduce energy consumption. ”

“We are very excited about our partnership with Cartridge World,” says Matt Coover, Senior Manager of Environmental Office Solutions. “With our ink and toner disposal system, we can generate convenient solutions for your customers.”

The partnership with Environmental Office Solutions is the latest announcement made by Cartridge World to support green initiatives, as well as other initiatives such as:

  • Cartridge World offers business maintenance services to keep your printers running and not thrown away if they break down.
  • Repair printers to keep them out of landfills and reduce waste.
  • Cartridge World sells and places new and reconditioned printers – making sure that they are used up to their maximum capacity.
  • We put new machines more energy efficient and without cost through the program Why Buy a Printer Program.

Cartridge World has been supporting businesses and customers for many years by giving printing policy suggestions to reduce the amount of printing, paper and cartridge usage by reducing the waste sent to landfills.
