Canon Unveils LG-P800 Full-Color Label Printer
Canon U.S.A. has announced the introduction of the LG-P800, a new 8-inch-wide full-color label printer designed to help businesses produce high-quality labels with greater flexibility and speed as product cycles shorten and labeling requirements diversify.

As companies face more frequent product updates and tighter inventory management demands, labels play an increasingly important role in communicating product value and supporting manufacturing and logistics workflows. Canon said the LG-P800 is positioned to address these needs by enabling high-mix, short-run, full-color label production in-house.
The LG-P800 is a pigment-based label printer engineered to deliver high-definition output with strong durability. It supports a wide range of applications, including product labels, inventory and shipping labels, retail signage, and select food packaging uses. Pigment inks are designed to help preserve label quality over time, even in demanding environments.
The printer supports edge-to-edge printing on media ranging from 2 inches to 8.5 inches wide, allowing users to create professional-looking labels across multiple formats and materials.
With print resolutions of up to 1200 × 1200 dpi, the LG-P800 produces crisp text and detailed graphics on various media types, including glossy film and synthetic materials. This flexibility enables businesses to tailor labels to branding, compliance, and functional requirements without outsourcing.
To simplify operation, the LG-P800 features a 4.3-inch LCD touchscreen and automatic media detection, helping reduce setup time while maintaining consistent print quality. Canon has also incorporated a Sub-Ink Tank System, allowing nearly all ink in the tank to be used before replacement and enabling ink tank changes during printing, minimizing downtime during long production runs.
