Canon Release New Color Range
Canon is targeting small workgroups with the launch of two new color A4 multifunction printers (MFPs).
The new i-SENSYS MF700 and i-SENSYS MF600 printers not only print, copy and scan, but, according to Canon, “these intuitive designed new models also bring mobile print features.”
Rayner Botha, product manager for office and laser products at Canon in South Africa, comments: “Canon is committed to removing all perceived barriers to mobile printing, including difficult set-up and limited functionality. Our new i-SENSYS MFPs work out of the box and provide everything an organisation needs to be able to work fast and flexibly, with easy integration capabilities, end-to-end management and a user-friendly interface to ensure a hassle-freeprinting experience.”
Canon claims the new i- SENSYS MF600 models can print up to 14 ppm, feature remote management connectivity, a new color touchscreen, mobile printing and scan-to-send functionality. The MF628Cw model also has built-in Wi-Fi.
Rayner continues: “According to the most recent InfoTrends report, the two largest barriers to people printing from their mobile devices are having incompatible printers and experiencing technical issues when trying to print. The new i-SENSYS models are designed with compatibility and user-friendliness in mind, to make mobile printing easy to perform and encourage optimum productivity both inside and outside the office.”
With printing speed up to 20 ppm and double-sided printing and scanning, the i-SENSYS MF700 series addresses the flexible scanning and printing needs of small to medium workgroups. They also include what Canon calls NFC Touch&Print, EncryptediV and Digital Signature PDF. MF729Cx also works with uniFLOW, making it suitable to play a role in Canon’s large-scale output management platforms.
Both series allow scanned data to be uploaded to Cloud applications including DropboxTM and Google DriveTM and both series include support for Apple AirPrintTM and compatibility with Google Cloud Print. This allows users to work more efficiently and manage, print and scan documents via a range of mobile devices while on the move. Both MFPs support the new combined Canon PRINT Business app, which replaces the Canon Mobile Printing and Canon Mobile Scanning applications. The Canon PRINT Business app includes NFC support and iCloud support to ensure users have a range of easy options to print from any device, anywhere. The application also enables printing from web pages or saved photos directly, cloud storage access and comes with automatic image correction abilities.
The MF 600 and MF 700 printers will be available across Europe in October 2015. More information at: http://canon.it-online.co.za/?p=221
