Canon Busy with Infringement Reporting

Canon Inc. has submitted two Infringement Forms with Amazon Italy in one day.

One is based on the alleged use of claim 1 and 25 of the Italian portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407 regarding the cartridge model “CF280A” offered by Punto Rigenera S.r.l. under the ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) B01CYI65E0. The other one is based on the alleged use of claim 1 and 25 of the Italian portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407 regarding the cartridge models “CE505A” and “CF280A” offered by Internet Brand Development (HK) Ltd. under the ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) B01E9T0Q2Y and B01B4EQQR6.

Afterwards, Amazon took down the respective products. These products are compatible with the OEM HP cartridge model CF280A as well as CE505 A and provide inter alia a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing.
