Canon Busy with Filing Infringing Report Forms with Amazon

Canon filed two infringing report forms with Amazon in one day.
One Report Infringement Form was submitted to Amazon Italy based on the alleged use of claim 1 and 25 of the Italian portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407 regarding the cartridge models “CE505A” and “CF280A” offered by Sichuan Xingdian Technology Co. Ltd. and Sichuan Hongdian Keji Youxian Gongsi Ltd. under the ASINs (Amazon Standard Identification Number) B01AVV0NN6 and B01C0002KU.

Afterwards, Amazon took down the respective products. These products are compatible with the OEM HP cartridge models CE505A and CF280A and provide inter alia a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing.

The other one was submitted to Amazon UK based on the alleged use of claim 1 and 25 of the UK portion of Canon’s European Patent EP 2 087 407 regarding the cartridge model “CF280A” offered by ImageStar Office Supplies under the ASINs (Amazon Standard Identification Number) B01AW4NUKA, B01HO4CZWU, B01HO4C06Q, B01HO4CWR8, and B01ACVOJ8A.

In response, Amazon also took down the respective products. These products are compatible with the OEM HP cartridge models CE505A and CF280A and provide inter alia a non-OEM coupling member, a non-OEM drum as well as a non-OEM housing.
