Roland DG Introduces EU2-1000MF UV Flatbed Printer

Roland DG Corporation has announced the launch of the EU2-1000MF, a large-format UV flatbed printer aimed at improving efficiency in rigid media production for sign and display applications.

The EU2-1000MF is designed for businesses producing signage, retail displays, exhibition graphics, and interior panels. It enables direct-to-board printing, allowing users to move from digital file to finished output without the intermediate steps typically associated with roll-to-roll printing, laminating, and mounting.

According to the company, this approach reduces manual handling and the likelihood of rework, while supporting a more streamlined and predictable production workflow. The system is intended to help operators maintain consistent quality and turnaround times, particularly in high-volume environments.

The printer supports media sizes up to 1,220 × 2,440 mm and thicknesses up to 95 mm, accommodating a range of rigid substrates. It is positioned for both existing flatbed users and businesses transitioning from screen printing to digital processes.

Roland DG states that the EU2-1000MF delivers approximately 1.5 times the productivity of its predecessor, the EU-1000MF, due to the inclusion of a new high-definition printhead. The company also indicated that pricing will remain consistent with the previous model.

The EU2-1000MF is part of a broader production system that includes VersaWorks 7 RIP software, E-US inks, and associated service and warranty support. The company said this integrated setup is intended to provide an end-to-end solution for board printing.
