Alphachem to Showcase Long-life Copier OPC Drum at RemaxWorld Expo 2025

The long-life copier OPC drum has seen growing demand in recent years driven by rising maintenance costs and the market shift toward large-volume printing.

To address this trend, Alphachem will showcase its solutions at RemaxWorld Expo 2025, held from October 16–18.

High-volume and high-speed printing places higher requirements on the drum’s wear resistance and the responsiveness of its photoconductive materials. Leveraging its parent company’s technical strength, Alphachem has made several key improvements, including:

1. Material Optimization: A high-precision mirror—the remote interface tube docking device—has been introduced into the photoconductor drum’s aluminum base, improving the drum core’s roundness and straightness.
2. Independent development of patented copier gears: Through specialized post-processing techniques and the introduction of certain materials (such as additives and reinforcements), the wear resistance of the drum drive gear has been greatly improved, while its runout has been reduced.

“However, our core competitiveness lies in coating materials and production techniques, ”said Mr Zhu, General Manager of Alphachem.

The company is particularly proud of its high-sensitivity photoconductive materials. “We have introduced some materials that were previously available only to OEMs, and we are also collaborating with top domestic universities (985 institutions) and research institutes to develop high-transmission materials,” added Zhu.

After several years of investment, Alphachem has established its own medium-scale material synthesis workshop.

According to Zhu, the company’s long-life OPC drums for A3 copiers can print up to 150,000 pages on average—50% more than ordinary OPC drums.
