Ninestar Forecasts H1 Loss Due to Transfer of Lexmark

Ninestar Corporation recently released its earnings forecast for the first half of 2025. Notably, the results are significantly impacted by the transfer of Lexmark to Xerox, causing substantial loss. Excluding this effect, its net profit attributable to shareholders would be between CN¥ 300 million (US$ 41.8 million) and CN¥ 400 million (US$ 55.7 million).

The company expects a net loss attributable to shareholders of between CN¥ 200 million (US$ 27.8 million) and CN¥ 400 million (US$ 55.7 million), compared to a net profit of CN¥ 974 million (US$ 135.7 million) in the same period last year. Excluding non-recurring gains and losses, net loss is estimated at CN¥ 100 million (US$ 13.9 million) to CN¥ 200 million (US$ 27.8 million).

Breaking down by segment, Pantum printer business recorded revenue of approximately CN¥ 2.31 billion (US$ 321.8 million) in H1 2025, up 10% year-on-year, while net profit fell 16% to CN¥ 324 million (US$ 45.1 million), with total printer sales volume down 5%. Notably, printer sales in the Xinchuang market surged by 65% year-on-year, and A3 copier sales rose 115%.

In its integrated circuit business, G&G Microelectronics posted revenue of CN¥ 556 million (US$ 77.5 million), down 18% year-on-year, with net profit plunging 94% to CN¥ 18 million (US$ 2.5 million). However, non-consumable chip sales rose 47%. General printing consumables revenue remained flat at CN¥ 2.7 billion (US$ 376.1 million), while net profit dropped 61% to CN¥ 30 million (US$ 4.2 million).

The company noted that the final review of Lexmark’s acquisition settlement is still in progress, and adjustments may affect its final H1 results. Ninestar will make timely disclosures if material differences arise, with detailed financial data to be confirmed in its official interim report.
