Epson Expands EcoTank Range for SOHO Users

Epson Australia has introduced two new additions to its EcoTank printer lineup, the EcoTank ET-2920 and EcoTank ET-4900, targeting the growing SOHO market as businesses continue to adapt to hybrid working arrangements.

The new models are positioned as alternatives to entry-level laser printers and traditional cartridge-based devices, reflecting increasing demand for lower operating costs and reduced maintenance requirements. Both printers use Epson’s cartridge-free EcoTank system, which replaces conventional ink cartridges with refillable high-capacity ink tanks.

The EcoTank ET-2920 is aimed at home-office users, students, freelancers and micro-businesses seeking an affordable multifunction device for everyday printing tasks. The printer combines print, scan and copy capabilities in a compact design and supports wireless connectivity for flexible use across multiple devices. Epson rates the model at print speeds of up to 11 pages per minute in black and white and six pages per minute in colour. The included ink supply is capable of producing up to 3,600 black-and-white pages and 6,500 colour pages.

For businesses with higher document volumes and more demanding workflows, Epson has introduced the EcoTank ET-4900. Building on the core features of the ET-2920, the ET-4900 adds fax functionality and an automatic document feeder to streamline multi-page scanning and document handling. The model also expands connectivity options with both Wi-Fi and Ethernet support, making it suitable for small offices that require shared network access and greater workflow efficiency. Print speeds and included ink yields are the same as those offered by the ET-2920.

The two new models are designed to provide predictable operating costs, reduced downtime and scalability for businesses as their printing requirements grow. The company believes these attributes are becoming increasingly important as organisations seek reliable and cost-effective technology solutions to support evolving hybrid work environments.
