Canon Inc.: Canon files new toner cartridge-related patent infringement lawsuit in U.S.
Canon Inc. files a complaint with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Kostland Inc., for infringement of Canon’s U.S. Patent No. 9,581,958 B2.
As set forth in the complaint, Kostland sells toner cartridges that infringe Canon’s patent under the name ‘4Benefit.’ The infringing toner cartridges are sold for use in certain models of HP laser beam printers. Canon is seeking damages and injunctive relief.
