Dell Cuts Printer Selling

Dell has decided to ditch their printer line, ceasing to offer printers as part of their hardware.

According to Considerate.co.uk, all printers have been removed from the Dell UK websites, except the large workhorse C7765dn model.

The cut is said to effect small businesses particularly, who rely on high quality, affordable, and reliable printer solutions.

Dave McNally(pictured), Product Marketing Director of Dell Imaging and Print in EMEA, revealed that Dell will continue to provide support and repair of existing printers for at least 5 years from 2016. However, they may not be able to provide warranty upgrades on print hardware after the end of 2021.

Speculation dictates that this might be due to some sort of fall-out from the recent Dell EMC merger.
