US State Governor Proclaims Reman Day

US State Governor Proclaims Reman DayGovernor JB Pritzker (pictured) has issued a proclamation declaring April 13, 2023, as Reman Day in the state of Illinois. Gov. Pritzker issued the proclamation on March 29, 2023.

The request for the proclamation was based on a proclamation request filed jointly by Clover Imaging Group and the International Imaging Technology Council (Int’l ITC).

Reman Day is an annual national event executed at the local level supported by remanufacturers as they host students, teachers, parents, job seekers and other local community members at open houses, plant tours and presentations designed to showcase the economic and environmental benefits of remanufacturing.

To mark the event, several cities and states have issued a proclamation honoring April 13, 2023, as Reman Day.  In the past six years since Reman Day was conceived, Illinois only joined in celebrating the event the first year, until now.

“Whereas Illinois is home to Clover Imaging, the world’s largest remanufacturer of printer cartridges, headquartered in Ottawa Illinois and employing thousands of employees worldwide.”

“There are countless advantages to remanufacturing goods, including localized job creation and waste diversion,” said Int’l ITC Executive Director Tricia Judge. “The goal of Reman Day is to advocate for remanufactured goods, educate people on the advantages of reman, and collaborate with our communities in order to identify future remanufacturing leaders. We are delighted that Int’l ITC member Clover’s home state of Illinois is joining in acknowledging this great community.”

Remanufacturing is a comprehensive and rigorous industrial process by which a previously sold, leased, used, worn, or non-functional product or part is returned to a “like-new” or “better-than-new” condition, from both a quality and performance perspective, through a controlled, reproducible, and sustainable process.
