As Argentina begins to shake off years of economic turbulence under sweeping reforms from new administration, RT VIP Imaging Expo took dozens of top suppliers to Buenos Aires and witnessed the trade liberalization that was happening right now.

Following the success of the 2024 roadshow in Chile, Peru, and Brazil, the 2025 event promises even more targeted meetings, exclusive product showcases, and unmatched access to key decision-makers. This year’s VIP event featured 15 exhibitors, showcasing the latest in imaging supplies and printing technologies. Attendees across Argentina and neighboring countries joined, many for the first time.

This one-day, invitation-only event—organized by Comexposium Recycling Times (C-RT) and Guía del Reciclador—brought together top buyers, distributors, and importers of imaging and printing supplies from across the region. It came at a time when Argentina’s printing and imaging sector is seeing a sharp revival, which has made importing printing equipment and consumables significantly easier and cheaper.

“Argentina is back on the radar for serious business,” says Cecile Zheng, Vice General Manager at C-RT. “The changes in trade policy are creating real momentum. Importers now face fewer restrictions and lower costs—this opens up new doors for suppliers and buyers alike. That’s why we chose Buenos Aires as our first stop this year.”

The atmosphere at the event supports the optimism. With inflation cooling, investor confidence growing, and trade barriers dismantled, many local buyers and distributors hadn’t a second to rest—curiously browsing from booth to booth and looking for the latest printing technologies to expand their supplier networks. Some exhibitors humorously described these enthusiastic visitors as “a vulture lunging at a piece of meat.”

“The excitement is palpable,” adds Gustavo Molinatti, General Manager at Guía del Reciclador. “There’s a clear sense that Argentina is opening up, and our exhibitors are eager to meet face-to-face with high-quality buyers in a market that’s showing real potential again.”

As with previous VIP expos, the Buenos Aires event was held in a 5-star venue, with business networking enhanced by a working lunch and evening cocktails. To today, the successful VIP model has already drawn hundreds of buyers at events across Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.

By the end of the expo, the organizer held a lucky draw to give out free tickets to the RemaxWorld Expo 2025 in October in Zhuhai, where a greater number of international exhibitors await. For many of the local buyers, they may not even have heard of the city of Zhuhai.
