Ricoh to Implement Price Revisions for Printing Portfolios

Ricoh have announced a widespread price revision for a substantial portion of their office and commercial printing lineup, scheduled to take effect on August 3, 2026.

The adjustment impacts a broad range of hardware categories, including A3 and A4 color and monochrome MFPs, digital wide-format systems, laser printers, and high-volume production printing presses.

According to the official corporate announcement, the decision is a direct response to the persistent inflation of raw material and procurement costs. Ricoh noted that it has aggressively pursued structural reinforcements and operational efficiencies in an effort to absorb these surging expenditures internally. However, the company stated that these independent corporate efforts have reached their limit, making it impossible to maintain current pricing structures while ensuring the stable, long-term delivery of high-quality products and services.

The overall situation reveals an upward price trend affecting almost every tier of corporate and commercial hardware, with adjustments ranging from 0.88% to 10.03%, with a few exceptions that will remain under an “open pricing” framework, which includes environmentally conscious recycled machines (Circular Economy models), such as the RICOH IM C6000F CE series, as well as select standard color laser printers like the RICOH P C375.

In the standard corporate office segment, high-end digital color systems are experiencing proportional bumps; the premier RICOH IM C8010 is set to rise from ¥5,200,000 to ¥5,304,000 ($32554.83 to $33205.93). Meanwhile, high-volume monochrome MFPs and wide-format plotters face increases up to over ¥300,000 ($1878.16). Smaller, distributed desktop laser printers are seeing much tighter, incremental adjustments to minimize the impact on smaller business environments.

Ricoh’s upcoming transition reflects the broader economic challenges currently facing the global hardware manufacturing sector. By restructuring its pricing matrix, the company aims to secure the supply chain integrity necessary to sustain its technological standards.
