Konica Minolta Launches bizhub C288i A3 MFP
Konica Minolta announced the release of the A3 color multifunction printer (MFP) “bizhub C288i,” designed to support digital transformation (DX) initiatives in small and medium-sized offices facing shortages of IT personnel.

The new model features enhanced core performance that significantly reduces waiting times for printing, copying, and scanning compared with previous models. Konica Minolta said the device is designed to help offices without dedicated IT staff adopt document digitization workflows more easily through simplified operation and integrated applications.
The company stated that the bizhub C288i combines improved productivity with intuitive usability to support the digitalization of everyday business operations.
The bizhub C288i is equipped with an automatic document feeder capable of single-sided scanning speeds of up to 70 pages per minute, enabling rapid digitization of paper documents. The company also reduced first-copy and warm-up times compared with earlier models to improve operational efficiency and minimize user wait times.
The operation panel can be adjusted up to 90 degrees, allowing for easier use regardless of installation environment or user position.
In addition, the “bizhub One-Time Scan” application enables users to digitize documents without complex initial setup procedures such as configuring email accounts, server addresses, or authentication settings typically required for Scan-to-Email or SMB workflows.
Konica Minolta said these features are intended to lower the barrier to digital adoption for businesses that had previously found document digitization difficult to implement.
The bizhub C288i also supports an optional internal finisher with stapling, hole-punching, and manual stapling capabilities while maintaining a space-saving design.
In addition to standard copy paper, the device supports direct printing on a variety of media types, including long sheets, water-resistant paper, and paper pocket holders. According to the company, this allows businesses to produce promotional materials and signage in-house, helping reduce outsourcing costs and turnaround times.
