Consumers Calmed Over Coronavirus-impacted Supplies rtmworldThe largest online supplier of aftermarket printing consumables in the world has been quick to calm consumers in the light of the coronavirus affecting printer supplies.

California-based LD Products claims it has adequate supplies and its China-based supply chain is back up and running. Its target customers are primarily end-users and small businesses that purchase office products transactionally over the internet. LD Products holds an inventory of about 6,000 SKUs and on an average day, it ships approximately 7,500 individual orders, which amounts to around 40,000 inkjet and toner cartridges per day.

The statement released on March 13, 2020, says, “LD Products does not anticipate any major disruptions in our normal business procedures as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in the USA.”

Consumers Calmed Over Coronavirus-impacted Supplies Aaron Leon rtmworldThe company’s CEO Aaron Leon (pictured) claims, “We were fortunate that in the months before the outbreak in China, we had significantly increased our inventory levels to keep up with our growth plans.”

The statement adds, “As an employee-focused company we are also undertaking procedures to minimize the risk of exposure and ensure a health-first approach with our staff and customers. If needed, our sales and customer support team has the ability to work virtually, which means we can access all of our programs and files from anywhere, at any time. One team that cannot work remotely are Warehouse Operations and in this respect, we are focused on implementing cleaning and social distancing measures shared by our manufacturing partners in China to reduce the risk of virus transmission.”

LD had been rapidly gaining market share with its channel partners by offering an exceptionally high-quality product. In 2019, BLI Labs gave the Goldline cartridges range a glowing report that contributed to the company being awarded Quality Leader Award in October at RemaxWorld Expo and Summit.

According to Leon, the Quality Leader Award was presented to LD Products in 2019 for achieving consistent OEM-level quality, and the lowest industry defect rates, as determined by rigorous independent testing on its premium-quality, new-build cartridge range. LD also sets stringent criteria in its selection of suppliers.”
