Cartridge Remanufacturer No Longer to Protect the Environment“I have a different vision,” shares Aliasger Badri, (pictured) the CEO of Egreen, leaning in with a smile, waiting for my reaction.

“I don’t want to protect the environment,” he says and pauses awaiting my reaction.

“I want to create a world where the environment doesn’t need protection,” Badri concludes. I had to admit he was right. I want to live in this world too.

I am meeting with imaging supplies leaders in the Middle East and Africa as we prepare for our VIP Imaging Expo RTMworld VIP events in Lagos (Nigeria), Nairobi (Kenya), and Dubai (UAE) in April 2024.

Just shy of 30 km from Dubai sits Sharjah, the third-largest emirate in the United Arab Emirates, straddling both the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. My journey there led me to Egreen, a prominent remanufacturing company in the UAE, honored as one of the VIP guests for our April 2024 event in Dubai.

I met with Murtaza Mandsaurwala (left), Sales Manager of Egreen and CEO Aliasger Badri (right) in Dubai.

Egreen, with 18 years of industry experience, proudly upholds its reputation while steering a green course—evolving significantly post-pandemic with an expansive portfolio of products and services.

“I don’t want to protect the environment. I want to create a world where the environment doesn’t need protection,” says a banner that reflects Badri’s vision.

In a stimulating exchange with Aliasger Badri, the company’s CEO, and Sales Manager Murtaza Mandsaurwala, I gained insights into their current business landscape and the aftermarket trends in the region. “We’ve been integrating new business models lately, intertwining services with toner remanufacturing,” remarked Badri. “Today, our offerings encompass MPS, equipment leasing contracts, an exclusive line of stone-based organic paper, and a diverse range of stationery products.”

My curiosity led me to inquire further about their remanufacturing expertise. “It remains our focal point,” confirmed Murtaza. With extensive technical training, they adeptly remanufacture both monochrome and color toners, catering to end-users and SMEs alike. As for the equipment offered on lease, they undergo refurbishment in their own facility, predominantly featuring HP printers and Canon copiers. “A significant portion of refurbished equipment finds its way to other countries, particularly in African regions,” Badri added.

Regarding the current state of the aftermarket, they believe there is a flat period in terms of print volume, with the pandemic accelerating digitization processes. “Those who offer the best solutions will survive,” said Badri.

I too subscribe to the mindset of minimizing our impact and promoting sustainable practices to create an environment that can heal itself.
