Brother releases new multi-function printers with enough ink to last a year

Brother has released its latest line-up of INKvestment Tank multi-function printers which now include enough ink to last users for a year and minimize the running costs of the device.

The Brother MFC-J1300DW ($329) and the DCP-J1100DW ($294) both have internal ink storage tanks so it significantly increases the amount of ink held by the printer and caters for the needs of the home office or small business.

“We engineered the Brother INKvestment Tank to help solve two major printing challenges – unexpectedly running out of ink and having to replace ink soon after purchasing a printer,” said Stefanie Dixon, Marketing Manager SMB, Brother Australia.

“By providing up to 1 year of ink in-box without the need to replace cartridges, the new all-in-ones help entrepreneurs and home office users alike focus on all the other important things happening in their year.”

These A4 printing products offer a low-cost solution and now eliminates the need to constantly replace cartridges.

Instead, the cartridges remain onboard the printer and the ink supply is drawn from the internal tanks which are filled with the supplied bottles.

When more ink is needed in a year, the customer simply purchases ink bottles and refills the tanks.

“People don’t dislike ink; they dislike having to change expensive ink cartridges frequently and without warning,” said Paul Saussey, General Manager Sales (Retail), Brother Australia.

“When engineering the new INKvestment Tank models, we wanted to change the way you ink. We aspired to keep the benefits of a cartridge – simplicity, cleanliness and familiarity to ensure the best user experience, but combine it with the power of Brother tank technology to provide users visibility of their remaining ink supply and save them money with the most economical print solution in its class.”

Apart from the onboard ink tanks, the new Brother MFPs also include wireless connectivity and one-touch connect with NFC (near field communication).

The scanning and printing process has also been simplified with the Brother iPrint&Scan app with files able to be saved the popular cloud storage solutions like Dropbox, OneDrive and Google Drive.
