Apex Launches Compatible Chips for Kyocera

Apex, a China-based chip design company, has unveiled more replacement chips for Kyocera cartridges.

The substitutes are replacements that will fit the Kyocera TK6325/8335/8345/8525 and TK-5207/5217 series of cartridges. These cartridges are for use in Kyocera’s A4 color MFPs, including TASKalfa 306ci/356ci/406ci/3252ci/4052ci/4002i.

Apex also released replacement chips for Kyocera TK-5197 in October, 2016. These will work in all six major regions, including Europe, Japan, the United States, China, Asia-Pacific, and South Korea. According to the company, the ASIC-designed chips are consistent and deliver performance comparable with OEM. Apex also claims its chips can be perfectly fitted into the assigned groove of the cartridge and be directly used in recycled cartridges without the need for any modification.
