Mutoh Introduces XpertJet 1681SR Pro in Europe

Mutoh Europe has introduced the XpertJet 1681SR Pro in Europe, targeting professional sign and display production.

The 64-inch printer uses the company’s AccuFine HD Pro printhead, featuring 3,200 nozzles across eight channels, alongside i-Screen EX print technology to improve image consistency, gradation and colour reproduction during extended production runs.

In Europe, the printer will be supplied with MS51 eco-solvent inks in an eight-colour configuration: CMYK, Light Cyan, Light Magenta, Orange and Red. According to the company, the additional orange and red inks are intended to improve warm colour tones and brand colour accuracy, while the light inks reduce visible graininess in graphics applications.

The MS51 inks are designed for indoor and outdoor use and carry UL GREENGUARD Gold certification, along with other European low-emission standards including AgBB, A+, Belgium VOC, BREEAM, LEED and M1. The inks are also GBL-free and do not require CLP/GHS hazard pictograms.

The printer is rated for speeds of up to 17 square metres per hour and includes a three-way heater system, front dryer, front-access ink loading and internal LED lighting. Automation features include DropMaster 2, FEED MASTER, Media Tracker and Nozzle Area Select.

The XpertJet 1681SR Pro will be shipped in Europe with ONYX RIPCenter software for print workflow management and production control. The printer will be available through the company’s authorised reseller network in Europe.
