Print-Rite Organised the ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 28 Twenty-ninth Plenary and Forum in Zhuhai

On June 27-29, the ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 28 twenty-ninth plenary and working group meetings and the forum on standardization of SC28 in the field of information equipment were successfully opened in Zhuhai. The conference was sponsored by the Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China and organized by the China National Institute of Electronics Standardization, the Zhuhai Print-Rite Unicorn Image Products Co., Ltd. and the Zhuhai Quality Supervision Bureau.

Over a hundred Chinese and foreign industry experts from China, Japan, the United Kingdom, Korea and the United States, including Deputy Director of SAC/TC28/SC28, Group Leader of Consumable WG Mr. Zhang Xiping (Print-Rite) as well as the Secretary of ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC28 Ms. Etsuko Sawada, Print-Rite CEO Mr. Arnald Ho and many more — were in attendance to host and conduct in-depth discussions around the theme of office equipment development.

In order to adapt to the changing nature of market needs for office equipment and related technologies with increasing usage of 3D technology in the office environments, the committee released the China’s first “3D Printing Standardization White Paper” in the forum. The “3D Printing Standardization White Paper” is jointly written by China National Institute of Electronics Standardization, South China University of Technology and Print-Rite Unicorn Image Products Co. Ltd. of Zhuhai etc.

ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 28 Office Equipment

ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 28 Office Equipment is a standardization subcommittee of the Joint Technical Committee ISO/IEC JTC 1 of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The committee was established in 1989 to promote the image quality assessment for commercial printing and the print permanence and durability on printer and copier even 3D printing.

To standardize, not to be standardized
